New abbot at Maredsous

On Thursday 19 December 2024, the community of Maredsous (Belgium) elected Father François Lear as its 9th abbot.

Dom François Lear was born in Corpus Christi, Texas (USA), in 1962; he made his profession in 1984 and was ordained a priest in 2001.
