On 18 June 2022 Abbot Andreas Range from Marienstatt resigned for reasons of age in accordance with the Constitutions of the Cistercian Congregation of the Mehrerau.
On July 2, 2022, Abbot Vinzenz Wohlwend (Mehrerau) appointed Father Martin Pfeiffer as Prior Administrator for two years at the request of the Marienstatt Chapter. Father Martin Pfeiffer was previously prior of the monastery.
