On January 12, 2019, the Community of Snowmass (Archdiocese of Denver, USA) elected as abbot , for an indefinite term, Father Charles Albanese.

Dom Charles Albanese was born in 1951 in New York City (USA). He entered Snowmass in 1977, made his solemn profession in 1983 and was ordained a priest in 2005. At the time of the election, he was Superior of the Community.
